WalesOnline Property Awards 2019: How to enter your favourite room makeover

Dragging a room from the past into the present and making it reflect your personal style can be equally exciting and daunting.

If you've done it, we want to know about it and you need to enter it into the WalesOnline Room Makeover of the Year category sponsored by bathroom specialists Nuwave, as part of the WalesOnline Property Awards 2019.

Here's a quick snapshot video of what it's all about:

Tips to enter

Stuck in 1999 then transformed to 2019 (Jo Ridout walesonline)

Try and take up to 10 clear pictures that show different views of your room.

If you have a number of photos of before the makeover, then upload these too as part of the 10, although it’s not compulsory.

Make sure there is enough light in the room to give everyone a clear view of its gorgeousness

We know you are all very photogenic, but there should be no people or pets in your photo; it’s all about your room.

We reserve the right to remove any inappropriate entries.

You can only enter one room in your house and the property must be yours (not your neighbours or family member or the dog's)

Eligible rooms

Your entry should include up to 10 photos of your room, with before pics if possible but not compulsory (Jo Ridout walesonline)

The rooms must have been updated between January 1, 2018 and August 24, 2019.

Downstairs: Lounge / living room, dining room, hall, kitchen, kitchen/diner, garden room / conservatory, office, study, playroom, games room, man cave, hen den.

Upstairs: Bedroom, bathroom, en-suite, loft room.

Prize

The winner of the WalesOnline room makeover of the year will get a free interior design appointment at the Cardiff branch of John Lewis (worth £250) plus a £100 gift card to spend in the homeware department.

Looks like John Lewis will be helping the winner makeover another room into a gorgeous space!

If your room doesn't win this free prize you can still get John Lewis to help you with your interior design. More information is on the John Lewis website HERE or email the Cardiff team on HomeDesignService.Cardiff@johnlewis.co.uk
