Shaun Edwards has likened South Africa wing Cheslin Kolbe to World Cup winner Jason Robinson and warned his Wales squad they are facing the fastest team in the tournament on Sunday.
Wales will take on the Springboks in Yokohama for a place in the final.
Wales defence coach Edwards believes it will be a battle of speed on the wings as, in his view, South Africa possess some of the quickest players on the planet, including Kolbe, 25.
Edwards said: “Out wide they’ve got incredible speed. They have got blowtorch speed on the edges.
"We’ll have to keep an eye on Kolbe. He’s one of the most dynamic players I’ve ever seen.
“I was lucky enough to play with Jason Robinson for many years.
“Kolbe is a similar player to Jason, incredibly explosive, and defies the fact you have to be big to play the game of rugby.”
