Wales vs Hungary LIVE: Latest score and goal updates from crucial Euro 2020 qualifier

Follow live as Wales look to secure their spot at next summer's European Championships against Hungary at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Ryan Giggs's side know victory will guarantee their qualification and have been boosted by both Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey passing late fitness tests, with the star duo set to start together for the first time in qualifying.

If Wales fail to win tonight all hope is not lost however as they will still have the opportunity to reach Euro 2020 via the playoffs. Follow all the action live below:

There's more Euro 2020 action to keep across tonight as Northern Ireland face a daunting task in Germany. It's essentially a dead-rubber game with Michael O'Neill's side unable to qualify automatically but guaranteed a place in the play-offs in March.

This is how the two sides line-up.

Germany: ter Stegen, Klostermann, Can, Tah, Hector, Gundogan, Kimmich, Kroos, Goretzka, Gnabry, Brandt.

Northern Ireland: Peacock-Farrell, McNair, Cathcart, Flanagan, Smith, Corry Evans, Davis, Saville, Ferguson, Thompson, Magennis.
And more from Giggs as he prepares to give his squad a final team talk.
We will need to play as a team to get the victory. We might have to be patient. If we win the game early on, that’s even better. But it might go to the last minute, so we have to play our football and be patient. Momentum has been building, and we’re in good form. Everyone knows it’s a big game, but you can’t get carried away, we’re against a very good organised team and we’ll have to play well to win. I’m sure the fans will get behind us, and we’ll try to give them something to cheer about.
Giggs: "Obviously the quality they've got, the experience. We've not had them together a long time, Aaron was missing for almost a year. It's not just about two players though, we need to be together as a team to get the victory."

There's no place in the side for Ethan Ampadu tonight. The teenager is enduring a frustrating time at RB Leipzig at the moment and you can't help but feel that had he dropped down to a Championship club on loan from Chelsea this season, he would be a permanent fixture in Giggs' starting line-up. Instead, at club level, he's played just 66 minutes since August.
On his media duties this week, Bale has also taken time to address the criticism of his love of golf.
"I find it hilarious to be honest, especially some of the pictures and stuff my friends send me," he said of the jokes and headline regularly featuring in the Spanish press. "On one it said triple bogey - and I've never had a triple bogey! At least give me an albatross! It's funny. Some of the things I have seen, people don't understand and don't know what they're on about. So I just find it quite funny.
Ryan Giggs is also feeling upbeat ahead of one of the defining ties of his managerial career so far.
The team in 2016, everyone, whether you were involved or a fan or watching on TV, it was amazing. If we can recreate that atmosphere, it’s fantastic. It’s not about individuals. As a player, that’s over now. Now I’m a manager. I think we’ve put ourselves in a great position. We’ve still got one game to go and a tough game, so we’ll need to win that to qualify.
Gareth Bale is feeling optimistic about Wales' chances tonight. His side are desperate to avenge their defeat against Ireland at the same stage of qualifying which saw them miss out on the 2018 World Cup.
I think we can use both of them to our advantage. We have got the kind of euphoria of qualifying for our first Euros and doing so well at the competition that we really want to do that again. We’ve also got the negatives of knowing how it feels to miss out on qualifying for a tournament like we did the World Cup so we can use both of them to our advantage.
And here are both teams in full. Former Arsenal transfer target Dominik Szoboszlai starts for Hungary.

The teams are in.... and Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey both start! It's the first time they've been in the XI together throughout qualifying.
Welcome to The Independent's live coverage of Wales vs Hungary where Ryan Giggs's side know a victory tonight will guarantee their qualification for Euro 2020.
