Wales under-20s game against New Zealand at the World Rugby u20s was suspended this afternoon after 28 minutes.
Gareth Williams' side were 5-0 up after an early score from centre Tiaan Thomas-Wheeler, who made the most of some errors from the Baby Blacks.
Then, as the game approached the half hour mark, the two teams were led off the field by referee Christopher Ridley in the fifth place semi-final.
Initially confusion reigned but it soon became apparent that inclement weather had caused the temporary stoppage.

Fans were also advised to leave the metal bleachers and the ground due to a thunderstorm that had drifted into the area.
Scotland's game against Italy nine kilometres away continued for a further few minutes before that too was brought to a halt.
The pitch where Wales were playing in Rosario, Argentina is artificial, so the heavy rainfall should have no implications there.
When they were taken off the pitch, players were told to expect a delay of at least 15 minutes.

In order for the game to be restarted, the storm has to move six miles away from the stadium before officials will consider bringing the players back out.
The teams eventually re-emerged from the sheds for the game to begin at 12:15pm local time, with the stoppage lasting just over an hour.
If the game had been abandoned, it is thought Wales would have advanced to the fifth place play-off as they had scored more tries when the referee brought things to a halt.
