Gareth Bale is expected to start for Wales against Denmark on Friday as they target promotion to the top tier of the Nations League.
Victory will seal Wales’ spot in League A for the next edition of the competition and defender Ashley Williams expects the Real Madrid star to help them achieve that aim.
Bale was originally a doubt for the game after suffering an ankle injury in Real Madrid’s 4-2 win at Celta Vigo before the international break but boss Ryan Giggs confirmed the 29-year-old would be involved against the Danes.
Wales defender Ashley Williams said: “He’s done his work this week, if you’ve seen him in training he looks fit and ready to go.
“We always want him here. We want him out on the field. That’s the main thing. If we can win, it will be great for our young players to play against the top tier of teams.”
