Wales' summer games against England and South Africa to go behind Amazon Prime TV paywall as month of rugby broadcast

Amazon Prime have landed the exclusive TV rights for 13 World Cup warm-ups involving all the countries from the Six Nations.

You can sign up for a free Amazon Prime trial here.

Ahead of this year's tournament in France, each of the six nations will prepare for the World Cup throughout August - with every one of those games being behind a paywall.

For Wales, their World Cup preparations consist of back-to-back matches against England before a Cardiff clash with defending world champions South Africa.

There is no word yet on whether the Welsh-language rights have been purchased by Amazon, but it seems likely that will be the case given the streaming giant has provided a Welsh option in recent years.

There has often been a clamour from fans and politicians to keep Welsh Tests on free-to-air TV. The World Cup itself will be terrestrial TV, with ITV showing the whole tournament.

Online streaming giant Amazon dabbled into Test rugby with the Autumn Nations Cup in 2020 and have continued their coverage of November matches since through the Autumn Nations Series.

An Amazon Prime subscription currently costs £8.99 per month. If you aren't an Amazon Prime customer, you can start a 30-day free trial which would grant you access to all of the action.

Be careful with the free trials, though, as customers are only eligible for a free trial of Prime every 12 months.

If you decide you don't want to continue with Amazon Prime beyond your free trial, just cancel before your 30 days is up. If you forget, you will then be charged.

Existing Prime members in the UK will be able to watch live Summer Nations Series games as part of their existing membership.
