Wales star Dan Biggar took two blows to the head today thanks to his own team-mates

Dan Biggar picked up two bumps to the face at the City of Toyota Stadium on Monday - both thanks to incidents with his own team-mates.

Before the game even kicked off, Biggar took a bang to the chin after a collision with James Davies during the warm-up while doing some defensive drills.

He received attention from the medics, where the cut under his chin was treated ready for kick-off.

And minutes into the match - after Jonathan Davies scored Wales' first of six tries against Georgia - Biggar again found himself taking a knock to the face.

While celebrating Davies' try, which was the fastest ever for Wales at the Rugby World Cup, Biggar's chin was on the receiving end of an accidental headbutt from Liam Williams as both players embraced Davies.

Watch the second collision below:

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Wales boss Warren Gatland was asked how Biggar was after the bumps.

"He’s fine," the Kiwi said. "He caught James Davies’ head in the warm-up and got a little split under the chin.

"He was fine. They stopped the bleeding on that little nick.

"I thought he performed well but we were disappointed with him missing the first conversion.

"He said to me afterwards he thought he was going to get a b*****king. Apart from that I thought he was solid at 10."
