Wales has once again seen record-breaking temperatures overnight, making for some uncomfortable sleeping across the country.
Aberporth recorded the highest minimum temperature last night, reaching 24.5C, with other parts of the UK also seeing similar levels of heat. It comes after Wales experienced its hottest day in history as temperatures rose to 37.1C in Hawarden, Flintshire, at about 4pm on Monday.

The Met Office confirmed temperatures reached record-breaking levels overnight, making it the provisionally hottest night in recorded history, on Tuesday morning.
Aberporth saw minimums of 24.5C with temperatures across Wales not falling below 20C in any area. The previous overnight record was 22.2C in Mumbles, Swansea.
The three highest recorded minimum temperatures from last night in Wales were:
- Aberporth - 24.5C
- Mumbles - 23.5C
- Whitchurch - 23C
Tuesday marks the final day of the Met Office's three-day amber weather warning for extreme heat. The warning covers the whole of Wales and most of the UK, with a smaller area of a red warning covering central and south-eastern England. These very high temperatures can be dangerous for everyone but "elderly people, children, those with chronic health problems and vulnerable people who may struggle to keep cool are at a higher risk.”
Wales' forecast for Tuesday, July 19, reads: "Another hot day, but cooler in the west than on Monday. Cloud will build through the afternoon from the southwest, bringing a risk of isolated showers. Maximum temperature 33 °C."
