Wales lock Will Rowlands has confirmed he is interested in joining the Dragons next season.
The Wasps second-row has been brought into the national set-up by Wayne Pivac this year - with the 29-year-old set to win his fifth cap this weekend after being named in the starting XV to face Italy.
However, as a result of being capped while playing in England, the reality for Rowlands is he'll have to join a Welsh region to continue playing for his country - being naturally well short of the 60-cap rule.
The Rodney Parade outfit have been the side heavily linked with Rowlands throughout the year, with Dean Ryan looking to turn their fortunes around - while Rowland's father also hails from Gwent.
And Rowlands has now addressed the need to move home as well as the Dragons interest in him.
"I do have a decision to make," he said.
"It looks like I will be playing in Wales from next season.
"Dragons is definitely an option and interested in exploring that for sure."
The second-row will come face-to-face with some of his potential future team-mates very soon - with the Dragons hosting Rowlands' Wasps in the Champions Cup next Saturday.
"I'm playing them next week," he added.
"It will be an enjoyable test."
The addition of an international second-row would be a boost to the Dragons, having lost Cory Hill to Cardiff Blues earlier this year.
And their pursuit of Rowlands has been helped by the lure of the 2023 World Cup in France.
"It would be amazing to go to a World Cup, it's a few years away but it is definitely a personal aim of mine," he said.
