Wales player 'throws Ken Owens under the bus' as he dishes dirt on team-mates

Wales and Scarlets loose-head Rob Evans has dished the dirt on his team-mates.

In a light-hearted fans Q&A, the larger-than-life 27-year-old fielded all manner of question ranging from which team-mate he felt would do the best job at loose-head to the best player he's faced.

Also thrown into the mix was a question regarding his worst room-mates.

"I've had a few dodgy room-mates in my time," he laughed.

"I've been with Samson Lee, who likes to shower in his white y-fronts. I wasn't a big fan of that.

"Then there's Ken Owens. He lets off the most horrific farts going, so I'd probably have to go with Ken."

When Garan Evans, who was conducting the Q&A, pointed out that Owens had been 'thrown under the bus', Evans chuckled: "The truth hurts!"

The questions then turned to opponents, specifically those who have 'the worst chat'.

Inevitably, the prospect of England loose-head Joe Marler perhaps being a candidate for this one was raised but the prop disagreed.

"I find him [Marler] quite funny, obviously not everything but some of the stuff he does," insisted Evans.

Instead, it was Wales team-mate Elliot Dee who was getting it.

"There have been a few with bad chat... most of them really so I can't pick one!" Evans added.

"I'd probably say Elliot Dee. I know he's not a prop but he's got pretty poor chat.

"He likes to give it the big one and he won't mind me saying that."

One of the other highlights of the session was when Evans discussed a picture that was taken of himself and Prince William in the Wales dressing room after the 2019 Grand Slam.

"We were just talking about scrums!" He laughed.

"He asked what happened in the third scrum when I did well against the tight-head and stuff like that!

"He's a really nice guy, just a normal bloke really. He was just asking how good it was to be out there.

"I was just asking how his family was and stuff.

"Last time I spoke to him was after the France game at home and he was like: 'Ah, I've had a hard week this week, the kids are on half term'."

Evans was later asked about the best player he'd played with an selected former Wales and Scarlets fly-half Rhys Priestland.

As for the best player he'd played against - New Zealand speedster Waisake Naholo got the nod.
