Wales handed Finland, Bulgaria and Republic of Ireland in Uefa Nations League draw

Wales have been drawn with Finland, Bulgaria and Republic of Ireland in this year's Nations League.

The inaugural tournament last year saw Portugal crowned champions after beating the Netherlands 1-0.

Wales were drawn with Republic of Ireland and Denmark and finished second in their group meaning the y stay in League B where they are pitted against similarly ranked sides.

This year Uefa has increased the size of the top three tiers to 16 countries - meaning each group will have four teams - and decreased the size of the bottom tier to seven.

The teams who win each group in the top division will go into the finals tournament in June 2021.

If Wales finish op of their group they will be promoted.

If they finish bottom they will be relegated.

Two World Cup play-off spots will also be available for any of the 55 countries taking part.

The best two Nations League group winners who do not qualify for the World Cup or play-offs through normal qualifying will go into the 12-team World Cup play-offs in March 2022.

  • Matchday 1: 3-5 September 2020
  • Matchday 2: 6-8 September 2020
  • Matchday 3: 8-10 October 2020
  • Matchday 4: 11-13 October 2020
  • Matchday 5: 12-14 November 2020
  • Matchday 6: 15-17 November 2020
  • Finals: 2, 3, 6 June 2021
