Wales fly-half Dan Biggar linked with sensational move to European champions Toulouse

Wales fly-half Dan Biggar has been linked with a sensational move to European champions Toulouse.

Reports have emerged that the French giants, fresh from winning the Champions Cup, are preparing to offer Biggar and fellow Northampton star Courtney Lawes lucrative deals to entice them to leave Franklin's Gardens.

A move would end Lawes' England career, but 92-cap international Biggar would be free to continue playing for Wayne Pivac's side were the French outfit able to pull off the signing.

The Rugby Paper report that Toulouse are keen on adding the pair in order to defend their European crown.

However, the deal looks to be a non-starter thanks to the major caveat attached to any move.

It's reported that both players would have to pull out of this summer's Lions tour to South Africa.

While they have toured with the Lions before, the chances of them pulling out of the upcoming trip to South Africa seem slim - particularly with Biggar the front-runner to start the Test series.

There's also the fact that Northampton and Chris Boyd will be keen not to lose two of their biggest stars.

Were the move to somehow happen, Biggar would find himself competing for the fly-half jersey with French star Romain Ntamack.
