Wales Fast Growth 50 backed by the Daily Post

The Daily Post will be sponsoring the category for the fastest growing firm in North Wales at the 2019 Wales Fast Growth 50 awards, to be held in Cardiff next month.

Founded in 1999, the Wales Fast Growth 50 celebrates the achievements of the fastest growing firms in Wales every year and it is estimated that the 602 firms that have appeared on the twenty lists have created 40,000 jobs and generated £20 billion of additional turnover, much of which is spent in their local area.

For the last two years, the fastest growing firm in North Wales has been Abergele-based Tir Prince Leisure Group, which incorporates a number of businesses within the tourism sector with a footfall of over seven million visitors annually including Tir Prince Raceway, Fun Factory Entertainment Centres and Llandudno Pier - the longest Victorian pier in Wales.

Created by Daily Post columnist Professor Dylan Jones-Evans, the Wales Fast Growth 50 highlights the achievements of those high growth firms that are making a disproportionate contribution to the Welsh economy, demonstrating yet again that Welsh entrepreneurship is thriving.

“Every year, the list identifies some incredible businesses that are making a significant difference to their sectors, markets and communities,” he said.

Owen Hughes, business editor of the Daily Post, said: “The Daily Post is delighted to be involved in supporting this year’s awards and highlighting hard work of their founders and the teams they have created to grow their businesses sustainably.

“At an uncertain time for the Welsh economy, it is important to demonstrate that we have some incredible businesses in North Wales and we will be featuring interviews with the North Wales firms on the 2019 Fast Growth 50 list to showcase the entrepreneurial spirit and innovative drive of the business community across the region.”

Further details of the 2019 Wales Fast Growth 50 will feature in the Daily Post and online on North Wales Live and Business Live on Wednesday November 13.
