Wales duo return to action as Dragons look to maintain perfect European start

Wales internationals Aaron Wainwright and Elliot Dee return to action for the Dragons as they travel to Sixways to face Worcester Warriors this Saturday.

Back-row Wainwright starts his first game for the region since an astronomic rise that saw him emerge as a key man in Wales' World Cup campaign in Japan, while Dee is named on the bench.

Ross Moriarty is still missing as he recovers from an illness which has sidelined him since the end of the World Cup.

Ollie Griffitghs, Leon Brown and Sam Davies all return to the starting line-up after being involved with Wales last weekend.

Director of Rugby Dean Ryan will be keen to maintain the Dragons' impressive start in the Challenge Cup - with the region sitting top of Pool 1 after victories over Castres and Enisei-STM.

“It’s crucial that we get some momentum, get our best Wales players back in the mix over the next couple of weeks and put ourselves in a strong position,” said Ryan.

“I’m expecting to face a well organised and strong Worcester side which has gained some confidence from the position they find themselves in the English Premiership.

“I don’t think these two games will decide the pool - but they will set you up and decide whether you have to do something at Castres at the back end of the competition.

“We’ve got to get something out of the next couple of weeks. If we do that we can put ourselves in a strong position to push on from the group.”
