Wales claim first Six Nations win since 2023 despite Italy comeback

Wales secured a 31-17 victory over Italy in Cardiff, ending a three-year Guinness Six Nations losing streak.
The home side established a commanding 21-0 lead at half-time, with tries from Aaron Wainwright (two) and captain Dewi Lake.
Dan Edwards further extended Wales' lead with a try and a long-range drop goal, contributing 16 points in total.
Italy mounted a late comeback, scoring three tries through Tommaso Di Bartolomeo, Tommaso Allan, and Paolo Garbisi, but it was not enough.
This win marked Wales' first Six Nations home victory since February 2022, while Italy failed to build on their recent success against England.
