From community blogs providing local news coverage to sparkling personal musings on your life as a social butterfly – the Wales blog awards launched today to celebrate the growing range of web logs in the country.
The blogosphere in Wales has grown and developed with a colourful array of personal and community blogs which add excellent coverage, comment and entertainment for web users. This is a brilliant opportunity to commemorate some of the hard work and innovation online in Wales.
On top of awards for lifestyle and politics there will be a 'best blog' award chosen from the winners of each category. You can nominate your own blog, or someone elses by going to www.walesblogawards.co.uk and the categories are as follows:
*Best Welsh language blog
*Best writing on a blog
*Best political blog
*Best community blog
*Best lifestyle blog
*Best technology blog
*Best sports blog
Disclaimer – I will be helping to judge the awards and therefore cannot be nominated. Other judges include Ed Walker from yourCardiff as well as Wynford Emanuel, director of Warwick Emanuel PR - organising the event. The awards will be presented at a ceremony in October in South Wales.
I know how wonderful, vibrant and incredibly diverse the Wales blogosphere is so get nominating people!
