Wayne Pivac has named seven uncapped players in his Wales squad for the autumn internationals, including call-ups for the exciting Bristol duo Callum Sheedy and Ioan Lloyd.
The pair get the nod in a 38-man party for the looming games with France, Scotland, Ireland, Georgia and England. The last three fixtures are in the Autumn Nations Cup, with Wales also having another game to play in the new competition.
Sheedy is selected as one of three fly-halves, next to Dan Biggar and a fit-again Rhys Patchell. Cardiff Blues star Jarrod Evans has been omitted.
The 24-year-old from Cardiff qualifies for Wales, England and Ireland and had previously not committed to any country at international level.
However, he has chosen Wales after talks with Pivac and will be handed his Test debut at some point over the course of the six matches.
His Bristol team-mate Lloyd is also selected and can play either full-back or fly-half. The 19-year-old is viewed as a huge talent with a big future ahead of him and Pivac wants to see him close up in the squad.
Other uncapped players chosen in the backs are Gloucester wing flier Louis Rees-Zammit, who was named in Pivac's Six Nations squad last season but didn't play, Scarlets centre Johnny Williams and his regional scrum-half team-mate Kieran Hardy.
Like Sheedy, Williams is triple qualified and could have chosen to play for Wales, England or Scotland. His excellent form at regional level sees him get the call from Pivac ahead of fit again Cardiff Blues man Willis Halaholo.
Hardy wins the nod ahead of Dragons star Rhodri Williams as back-up scrum-half to Rhys Webb and Gareth Davies.
There are also two uncapped forwards named by Pivac.
Ospreys' in-form hooker Sam Parry with Dragons' Elliot Dee left out, while Scarlets back-rower Josh Macleod is also selected.
He appears to be a form choice, with Macleod named Scarlets player of the season last year. The 23-year-old seems to have been chosen ahead of his regional colleague James Davies, who has only just returned from injury.
Macleod was Welsh rugby's turnover king in the PRO14 last season, his tally of 23 well ahead of that of any other player.
He plays openside, but can fit in anywhere in the back-row.
While there will be excitement about the newcomers, spare a thought for Sale tighthead prop WillGriff John.
He was named to start the postponed March Six Nations fixture with Scotland, but with Tomas Francis available again and Samson Lee back in form John finds himself omitted from the squad entirely.
