Plans have been set in motion for Wales and England to face each other next summer before both teams set off on their summer tours.
The RFU and WRU are currently in talks to arrange what would be the fifth game between the two rivals in just 18 months.
There is also a chance that they could meet once again in the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup later this year, as they become very familiar with each other.
What would be a lucrative Test match, held at Twickenham, would be used to prepare both teams for their respective summer trips, with England heading out to Japan and Wales going back to New Zealand.
It is also said to be worth six figures to the WRU.
By then, Wales head coach Warren Gatland would have left his post and Wayne Pivac would be settled into his role.
A WRU source confirmed the story, that appeared in the Daily Mail , but told WalesOnline that nothing has been agreed as yet.
The two teams clashed before their summer tours in 2016, when Dan Lydiate, who captained Wales at Twickenham that day suffered an shoulder injury that ruled him out of the tour.
The uncapped Ellis Jenkins was called up to replace him in New Zealand.
