- Wales rugby great George North has announced his retirement from the sport at the end of the current season.
- The 34-year-old wing or centre has enjoyed a distinguished career playing for Scarlets, Northampton Saints, Ospreys, and most recently, French side Provence.
- North won the Premiership with Northampton Saints and retired from international rugby in 2024.
- He earned 121 caps for Wales and participated in two British & Irish Lions tours during his career, winning in Australia in 2013.
- In a video announcement, North stated it was the “right time” to retire, expressing gratitude to his family, friends, and supporters.
