Waiver Wire Tuesday: Why you should add WR Terry McLaurin to your fantasy team

Week 1 of fantasy football is in the books, and team owners across the nation are either riding high with an undefeated record or licking their wounds and headed to the waiver wire looking for help.

If you need a boost at the wide receiver or flex spots, take a look at putting a claim in for Washington Redskins rookie WR Terry McLaurin. He finished Sunday’s game with five catches for 125 yards and 1 touchdown — good for 23.5 points in PPR (points per reception) leagues, and 18.5 in standard scoring. The rookie was also a step away from adding to that point total, as he was just overthrown by Case Keenum on a sure-fire touchdown that would have gone 60+ yards.

Through one week of action, it is clear that McLaurin is likely to be the top receiving option in Washington, until TE Jordan Reed comes back, that is. Still, even if Reed takes ownership of a chunk of the workload, McLaurin proved on Sunday that he can still be a dynamic deep threat who is capable of winning you your matchup.

If you happen to be searching for players to add to your team this week, you could do a lot worse than Terry McLaurin. It’s possible that this young playmaker is just hitting his stride in Washington.
