An urgent recall of a recently launched vegan burger has been issued as they could be unsafe to eat.
The Waitrose & Partners Plantlife Pulled Oyster Mushroom Burgers only hit the shelves on September 8.
However it is being recalled as it may contain small pieces of blue plastic which makes it unsafe to eat. The alert applies to all date codes for the 200g product.

Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product explaining to customers why it is being recalled and what to do if they have bought it.
If you have bought it, do not eat it and instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
The Food Standards Agency has issued the product withdrawal notice to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food.
The Waitrose & Partners Plantlife Pulled Oyster Mushroom Burgers was part of Waitrose's largest ever new vegan and vegetarian product launch last month.
There have been no reports about any issues with the other products.
Waitrose said the launch followed research from Veganuary, the global organisation encouraging people to try vegan for January and beyond, revealing that six months on from Veganuary 2021, 82% of participants have maintained a dramatic reduction in their animal product consumption.
