Waitress gets given Spice Girls ticket as tip

No matter how much you stress over how generous to be with your tip at a restaurant, you'll never leave one this good.

One waitress at a restaurant says she "couldn't stop crying" after a customer left her a ticket to see the Spice Girls as a tip.

Zenna Devadason was serving a table of three women on the day of one of the Spice Girls' concerts on their Spice World 2019 tour, which kicked off in Dublin on May 24 and hit Cardiff three days later. The 22-year-old got chatting to the mum, daughter and daughter's friend and discovered they had tickets to see the legendary girl group in Bristol.

"They were really lovely and we got on really well," Zenna told Bristol Live .

"I asked what they are doing today and one of them said they were going to see the Spice Girls. I said I had tried to get tickets but missed out."

The waitress was then left in tears as the mum gave her a spare ticket as a tip, saying she "deserved to have a good time".

"I started crying and asking whether she was serious," she said.

"I couldn't believe it. It's the best tip I have ever received. I was over the moon. Everyone I was working with was so happy."

Zenna now wants to properly thank the generous customer after having an "amazing" time at the concert.

"The Spice Girls were amazing despite the rain - it was one of the best concerts I've ever been too," she said.

"I want to say thank you to the woman properly."

The manager of the Three Brothers Burgers restaurant where she works in Bristol has also taken to Facebook in a bid to track down the mum.

"Zenna was working in Three Bros yesterday and was serving a table of three - a mum, daughter and daughters friend," a Facebook post reads. She got chatting with them and they said they were super excited as they were off to see The Spice Girls that night! Zenna said she’d tried to get tickets but missed out. Then the lovely mum said they had a spare and that Zenna could have the ticket! So Zenna went along and had an awesome girl power kinda night! We would LOVE to invite that group back for a meal, on us, as a thank you!"
