I purchased a Bosch electric cooker with a £50 cashback deal from my local branch of Currys in November last year but have still not received the cash. I sent photographic proof of my purchase receipt via its online claims form as requested, and was given a reference number. Since then, I have had no cash and the email address bounces back, or it takes them half an hour to answer the phone. I feel I am no nearer getting this settled than I was in November 2014. We have previously reported delays in the claims process and thought the glitch had been sorted out. Currys said it appointed a third-party agency to handle- them on its behalf and that although there has been a “fantastic response” to the cashback offer, applicants should expect a 28-day turnaround. That said, your claim has exceeded that.
Bosch says the problem was at your end (you disagree), saying you had not originally supplied your proof of purchase, which delayed the process. However, it says it has now received this and – bingo! – you have had your payment.
