Coleen Rooney has won her High Court battle with Rebekah Vardy and internet users are having a field day.

The so-called Wagatha Christie trial finally comes to a close three years after Rooney’s now-infamous Instagram post declaring that someone was leaking close stories to the press, concluding: “It’s ……….Rebekah Vardy’s account.”

But a judge has now ruled Rooney’s accusations about leaks to the media were true.

The famous trial has had celebrity fans gripped since 2019, and now that the verdict has been announced, netizens are reacting on social media.

They’re already fan-casting the inevitable ITV drama and speculating about whether Rooney will be offered a top job as a detective.

Read the funniest reactions to the Wagatha Christie drama below.

Jessica Elgot said: “So glad #wagathachristie is over so we can finally get the 10-part dramatisation we all deserve.”

Sarah Robinson said: “She did it! What a queen Coleen,” and shared a photo of Coleen Rooney as Fred from the Mystery Gang revealing Rebekah Vardy to be the villain behind the mask.

Specsavers said: “We’d like to speak to the sketch room artist on the #WagathaChristie case,” and shared the sketch that many have pointed out looks nothing like Vardy.

Twitter user MB said: “Coleen Rooney offered Chief Superintendent role in the Metropolitan Police,” and shared an image of It’s Always Sunny’s Charlie Day explaining his conspiracy theory.

Daniel Austin said: “I for one am staggered, absolutely *STAGGERED*, that "I accidentally dropped vital evidence into the North Sea" did not stand up in court as a legal argument for Rebekah Vardy.”

Peter Smith said: “The judge should have only told Rebekah Vardy, and no-one else, the verdict last night and sat back to see what happened.”
