Wagamama to reopen 67 restaurants for delivery starting this week

Wagamama is reopening the kitchens at 67 of its branches for people to order delivery food and pick up takeaways.

The first 24 locations will reopen on Thursday, May 21, with the next 20 to follow on May 28.

By the end of June there will be 67 restaurants serving the public again.

The move follows a successful trial at four branches - Peckham, Hackney, Bow and Leeds - which has been running since April 30.

Wagamama chief executive Emma Woods said: "Over the past couple of months our focus has been on creating a safe working environment for our team members and our two-week trial has enabled our teams to return to work safely.

"The next logical step for us is to open additional sites throughout the UK, this will still very much form a test and learn approach for the business.

"The response of our return has been extremely positive and we look forward to our guests being able to get their Wagamama fix."

You'll be able to place orders on Deliveroo, Just Eat or Uber Eats for delvery - depending on your location.

You can also order food for takeaway through the Wagamama website.

Most of the reopened branches will be restaurant sites, although kitchen-only establishments are included too.
