Matthew Wade has returned for the Hobart's crucial Big Bash League clash with the Sydney Thunder, with the Hurricanes to bat first at Marvel Stadium .
After sitting out the Hurricanes' past two matches for personal reasons, Wade is back captain and won the toss in his comeback against the Thunder on Thursday.
Wade has had a lean BBL campaign, scoring just 84 runs in nine innings outside of the 117 he thumped against the Sydney Sixers early in the tournament.
After being beaten by the Thunder on Monday, fourth-placed Hobart can all but lock in a finals spot with a win and put a gap on the chasing pack.
The Thunder are, meanwhile, unchanged for the match, sitting second and still a chance of catching the Perth Scorchers for top spot.
