Restrictions on travellers from Perth, including the Peel and south west regions of Western Australia will be eased from 6pm on Friday.
The changes to the public health direction are in line with the end of lockdown restrictions in the area announced by the WA government yesterday.
From 6pm on Friday there will be no travel restrictions between the ACT and WA.
On Monday people who had recently been in COVID-19 affected areas in WA were told to quarantine in the ACT for the duration of the WA lockdown.
People currently in quarantine will be informed they are able to leave by ACT Health via email and SMS.
This change also means that there will be no travel restrictions for people coming from these areas of WA into the ACT.
Meanwhile, a public health direction remains in place for COVID-19 exposure sites in Victoria after a hotel quarantine worker tested positive for the virus.
Unlike previous public health directions that restrict travel between local government areas, current travel restrictions and quarantine requirements only relate to specific Tier 1 public exposure sites identified by the Department of Health and Human Services in Victoria.
People in the ACT who have recently visited Victoria have been told to check the Victorian DHHS website to see if they have visited any of the sites during the dates and times listed.
If someone in the ACT has visited any of those sites during those times they must immediately quarantine, get tested and notify ACT Health via an online declaration form.
Individuals who visited any exposure sites in Victoria will need to stay in quarantine for 14 days even if they return a negative result.
Anyone in the ACT who is identified by DHHS as a close contact will be required for 14 days after their last exposure to the case.
All close contacts are required to have two COVID-19 tests, one at the beginning of quarantine ,and another prior to completing quarantine.
Anyone planning to travel to the ACT who has visited a Tier 1 Victorian exposure site or is identified as a close contact are required by DHHS to quarantine in Victoria.
People who have visited an exposure site are not able to travel to the ACT without an exemption.
Canberrans who wish to travel to Melbourne have been advised by ACT Health to keep up with travel advice and be prepared to cancel or amend travel plans at short notice.
