More than 10,000 West Australian households will get support to cut their power bills including the replacement of low-efficiency appliances including refrigerators.
The $13 million scheme will also provide household energy assessments when the rollout begins mid next year.
Energy Minister Bill Johnston said it would help the state's most disadvantaged families reduce their energy costs.
"This new scheme will provide long-term relief to more than 10,000 households, which is especially needed during this unprecedented time," Mr Johnston said.
It also builds on the state government's $600 household electricity credit and the doubling of the energy assistance payments to $610.
Further details will be announced in early 2021.
Non-government organisations with experience and expertise in delivering energy efficiency programs for disadvantaged households are being encouraged to register their interest.
