WA prison farm inmate charged with escaping custody

A prison farm inmate in regional Western Australia has been arrested and charged with escaping lawful custody.

Joel Bac, 42, allegedly escaped from the minimum-security Pardelup Prison Farm in the state's south on Sunday.

Police said he was arrested about 5.30pm on Monday in Kendenup near Mount Barker.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in Albany Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
