WA:Pediatrician accused of molesting nine more children

A pediatrician accused of sexually assaulting a patient has been accused of offending against nine more children.

Chia Liang Saw was charged in late May with persistent sexual conduct with a child under 16 and possessing child exploitation material.

The 41-year-old was slapped with a further 31 charges on Friday, Western Australian police said.

These include seven counts each of indecent dealing with a child under 13 years and producing child exploitation material.

Saw also faces one count of sexual penetration of a child over 13 years and under 16 years, six counts of indecent dealings with a child of those ages, nine counts of indecently recording children and one of intent to procure a person believed to be under 16 years for sexual activity.

Some of the offences allegedly happened at Saw's place of work in a hospital.

A hidden camera in a Perth examination room captured Saw's alleged offending, the court has previously heard.

Saw, a developmental pediatrician, specialised in behavioural issues affecting children and operated from various locations in Perth, police previously said.

His medical registration has been suspended.

Saw is scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday.
