WA babysitter on child abuse charges

A man will face Perth Magistrates Court accused of sexually abusing children he was babysitting. (AAP)

A Perth man who allegedly used an online service to advertise himself as a babysitter has been charged with sexually abusing several children under his care.

West Australian police say the 23-year-old indecently dealt with three children aged between four and 10 between June and August.

He is also alleged earlier this month to have sexually assaulted an infant under 12 months while taking a series of photographs and videos.

Detectives searched his Bennett Springs home over the weekend, where it's alleged they found child exploitation material as well as gel blasters and edged weapons.

The man has been refused bail to face Perth Magistrates Court next month charged with multiple offences including indecent dealing and sexual penetration of a child under 13 years.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
