Vulnerable woman left 'distressed' after man 'entered flat and stole cash' in Hucknall

A man reportedly entered a vulnerable woman's flat, sat on her sofa and then stole some money from her purse.

Nottinghamshire Police have issued a picture to help with their investigation into a burglary.

It happened in Darlison Court, Brook Street in Hucknall on January 4 at around 1.30pm.

Officers would like to identify the man pictured in connection with the incident.

Police Investigating Officer Hollie Fothergill, leading the investigation, said: "We are keen to speak this man in connection with the burglary.

"It was reported a man has walked into a flat and taken a purse and a £10 note from a disabled woman.

"The victim was sat in her chair in the living room when an unknown man has walked in and sat on the sofa opposite. He reportedly mumbled something and he got up and went out of sight.

"She is clearly distressed following the incident and we are now appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at that time to come forward.

"If you recognise the man please call 101, quoting incident number 301 of 4 January 2021."
