Vulnerable teen missing from Renfrewshire sparks police search

A vulnerable teen has sparked a major police search in Renfrewshire.

Missing Tya Miller was last seen around 12.45am on Tuesday, May 19 near Stepends Road in Kilbarchan.

The 14-year-old is described as around five feet, nine inches tall and of a medium build with long brown hair.

When last seen, Tya, who is from Kilbarchan, was wearing a black jacket, black leggings and carrying a small black backpack.


Sergeant Ross Laughlan said: "Tya has been going through a tough time recently and we are concerned for her welfare.

"We want to make sure she is safe and would appeal to anyone in this area to look out for her.

"Tya also has connections to the Bargeddie area and to West Lothian.

"Tya - if you see this, we would also ask you to please get in touch with police to let us know that you are okay."

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting reference number 0226 of May 19.
