Vulnerable missing man from Leicester may have travelled to Nottinghamshire

UPDATE: Since this article was first published, Anthony has been found safe and well in the Mansfield area.

Officers are appealing for public help to find a man with learning difficulties who has been reported missing.

Anthony Lawson left an address in Springfield Road, Leicester at around 7.50am this morning (August 2).

The 42-year-old was last seen in the London Road area near to Leicester train station between 9.30-10.30am.

Anthony has learning difficulties and may appear confused. Police believe he may have travelled to Coalville in Leicestershire or Bilsthorpe in Notthinghamshire.

He is described as white, of very thin build, 5ft 1ins tall with short grey and black hair and a long face.

He was last seen wearing a light grey hooded top and jogging bottoms with a fluorescent green t-shirt.

He was also wearing black and white trainers, carrying a black holdall bag over his shoulder and may be in possession of a silver pedal cycle.

Police and Anthony’s family are extremely concerned for his welfare and would urge anyone who knows where he may be or has anyone matching his description to please get in touch on 101 quoting incident 193 of 2 August.
