- How to watch stage 5 of the Vuelta a España
After four days of racing in Italy and France, the 2025 Vuelta a España returns to home soil on Wednesday, albeit only temporarily, for a mid-week team time trial.
Figueres, famous for the Dalí Theatre-Museum, will send riders down the ramp for the flat 24.1km TTT in front of the museum designed by hometown surrealist Salvador Dalí.
Time checks will be taken at three locations: Cabanes (6.9km), Peralada (10.8km) and Vilanova la Muga (15.4km). An uphill finish will be the only obstacle to the procession of teams looking to gain time for their GC riders.
Look out for time trial specialist squads UAE Team Emirates-XRG and Visma-Lease a Bike attempting to make statements. For Visma, the stage could serve as an advantage for Jonas Vingegaard to retake the red leader's jersey, with the Dane currently second, on the same time as leader David Gaudu (Groupama-FDJ).
The city of Figueres sits in the north-east corner of Catalonia and leads to a pair of mountain stages across Andorra, as the Vuelta route heads back out of the country on Thursday's stage 6 and Friday's stage 7.
