VRider SBK is set to launch on June 27 for both PlayStation VR2 and Steam. The game has already been out for a few weeks on the Meta Quest store, receiving positive reviews from early players.
Bringing the high-speed world of Superbike racing into VR, VRider SBK puts players in the middle of the officially licensed Superbike World Championship. It features 14 real-world tracks, including Estoril and Cremona, and lets players race alongside 23 official riders. The game supports five major manufacturers—Ducati, BMW, Kawasaki, Honda and Yamaha—and uses gesture-based controls to create a more immersive VR experience. Players can take on others in online PvP, test themselves in Tournament mode or race against ghost times to push their limits.
The PS VR2 version has been built with a focus on maintaining a smooth and stable frame rate, an important step in reducing motion sickness in VR. A dedicated quality setting ensures responsiveness during high-speed races, helping avoid the lag that can cause discomfort in more demanding racing sims. On PS VR2, players will also get upgraded visuals with improved bike models, more detailed environments, an animated crowd, realistic tarmac textures and transitions.
This PS VR2 version also adds two new circuits, Estoril and Cremona, to expand the track list. It supports PS VR2 Trophies and gives players the ability to fine-tune visual settings to suit their preferences. In single-player mode, up to 23 riders can race at once.
Thanks to the added power of the PS VR2, VRider SBK sees a major boost in visual fidelity. A new rendering pipeline brings sharper detail and more lifelike environments and the addition of 22 AI riders mirrors the full championship grid.
