Voting for the European parliament election gets underway on Thursday in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, with Ireland and the Czech Republic taking to the polls on Friday and the rest of the EU member states casting their ballots over the weekend.

The election sees 375 million Europeans called to vote across the continent - and we'd like you to share your images of taking part. Be careful not to take a selfie in the polling station itself, or to reveal your voting intentions.

Whether you're in Stoke, Salzburg or Sofia, post your experiences via GuardianWitness to help us build a picture of the world's biggest supranational elections.
