The poll was conducted on Dec 12-15 on 1,139 eligible voters throughout the country to compile their opinions after it was reported that the voting ballot for the forthcoming election would not have the names and logos of political parties or candidates on it.

Asked what they want to see on the voting ballot, 48.13% of the respondents said they want it to have the names of candidates and the names and logos of their political parties on it; 22.70% said the ballot paper should be of a good quality and the letters and figures printed in striking colours; 21.11% want it to provide tick boxes for them to easily mark a choice; 11.92% said the voting ballot should meet international standards; and, 7.72% said the ballot should give clear directions on how to vote.

Asked what if the ballot paper has only the numbers of candidates but not the names and logos of their parties, 40.55% said they would be confused; 24.62% said this may lead to election fraud; 20.74% said it would not meet international standards; 14.6% said the Election Commission should review this matter to ensure justice for all; and, 12.97% thought this may help voters to make their choice more easily.
