Voter turnout in Leeds for the General Election 2019

The voter turnout in Leeds for the General Election 2019 has dropped slightly on the figure recorded in the 2017 election.

The turnout relates to the percentae of the Leeds population who voted in the election, either by post or by visiting their local polling station.

The turnout in Leeds was 66.08 per cent, as every Leeds MP managed to hold onto their seat in Westminster.

In the 2017 snap election called by Theresa May in the summer of 2017, the turnout in Leeds was 67.11 per cent.

Overnight, the country watched as Boris Johnson claimed a lanslide victory over Labour, winning a total of 326 seats to their 202.

In Leeds, of the eight seats, five remain Labour and three Conservative.
