Timothée Chalamet has shared his thoughts on the US election, encouraging his followers to “vote that f***** out.”
In a series of Instagram stories, Chalamet shared two announcements about upcoming castings.
The first was his role in Adam McKay’s star-studded Don’t Look Up, which finds him joining Jennifer Lawrence, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Himesh Patel, Ariana Grande, Jonah Hill, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kid Cudi in the Netflix film.
He also shared news of his sister Pauline Chalamet’s casting in Mindy Kaling’s HBO Max series The Sex Lives of College Girls.
In a final post, Chalamet then wrote: “But most importantly… VOTE THAT F***** OUT.”
Chalamet’s role in the ensemble cast of Don’t Look Up was announced on Wednesday. The film will follow two astronomers who embark on a media tour of the world to warn of an approaching asteroid that will destroy Earth.
McKay previously directed The Big Short, Vice and The Other Guys.
Chalamet’s next major role is in the science-fiction epic Dune, which was initially scheduled for release in December 2020 but has been postponed to October 1, 2021.
The film, adapted from Frank Herbert’s seminal novel, is directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Blade Runner 2049).
Zendaya, Charlotte Rampling, Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson and Jason Momoa also star.
