Fans can vote for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson to win the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week after he was nominated alongside Teddy Bridgewater of the New Orleans Saints and Deshaun Watson of the Houston Texans.
It is the second nomination of the season for Wilson, who was also nominated in Week 2 following an excellent performance against the Steelers.
This week, Wilson is being nominated on the back of his outstanding performance against the Rams on Thursday Night Football.
Wilson completed 17-of-23 passes for 268 yards and four touchdowns, along with a 151.8 passer rating.
For the season, Wilson now has 1,409 passing yards, 12 touchdowns and zero interceptions, becoming the first player ever to eclipse those marks through his first five games.
Wilson is gaining traction as a potential MVP candidate, although he will have to beat out Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs and Christian McCaffrey of the Panthers.
However, if the Seahawks keep winning games and Wilson keeps up his torrid pace, this likely won’t be his last nomination by FedEx, and it could lead to some serious hardware at the end of the year.
