This week, one Las Vegas sportsbook released their over/under win projections for the upcoming NFL season and, as expected, the Bears are high on the list, set at 9.5 wins, according to CG Technology via The Lines. This is a full three wins better than last year, even when some experts picked the Bears as a sleeper team (and were ultimately proved right). They’re tied with the Colts and Eagles and are only behind the Patriots, Chiefs, Rams, Saints, and Chargers for win totals. The Packers and Vikings’ projections are set at nine each, with the Lions at seven, respectfully.
After a 12-4 campaign which resulted in a division title in 2018, many expect another successful season of 10 or more wins and a playoff berth. However, with an upcoming schedule that features six playoff teams and a large target on their back, it won’t be an easy task.
The draft is still a few weeks away where the roster will continue to take shape and we’re months out from training camp, but let’s have some fun with this projection.
