Joseph entered Florida’s starting lineup as a sophomore, helping to replace linebackers Jarrad Davis and Alex Anzalone after they left to the NFL.
During his three years, Joseph shined. He led the Gators in tackling with 93 tackles, while also recording nine tackles for a loss, four sacks, five pass breakups, a quarterback hurry and a forced fumble as a junior.
Joseph competes with a quick trigger and shows off his impressive blend of athleticism and range. He plays with lateral mobility, speed and pop and is routinely in the vicinity of the play. While athletic and displays great movement skills, his disorganized break down skills dent his ability in the run game, and lacks awareness as a coverage defender.
Overall, Joseph is a loose athlete with downhill speed, range, and navigation skills to be a starting weakside NFL linebacker, but he will have to clean up certain areas to his game, including taking on blocks, processing and finishing skills.
