The Vontaze Burfict era in Cincinnati is over.
Now a member of the Oakland Raiders, the normally-quiet Burfict hasn’t been so about his departure. He took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message to Bengals fans on his way out the door.
For Burfict and the Bengals, a change was probably for the best in the long term. Cincinnati’s new coaching staff wants change and Burfict gets to go to a new team and reunite with defensive coordinator Paul Guenther, who helped him have some of the best years of his career.
Still just 28 years old, it sounds like Burfict isn’t going to forget the first city and team to embrace him after he went undrafted out of Arizona State.
