Vontaze Burfict lands with Paul Guenther and Raiders

Vontaze Burfict wasn’t out of a job long.

As expected, the former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker went to join former defensive coordinator Paul Guenther on the Oakland Raiders.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, it’s a one year deal with incentives, which based on Burfict’s past history, are probably tied to playing time.

Burfict got cut Monday and it was logical to think he’d seek out Guenther, who helped him produce his best years as a pro. Those Raiders had reportedly tried to trade for Burfict last year.

After a visit confirmed Tuesday morning, hardly 12 hours passed before the report and Burfict landing a new deal.
