Von Miller watched Avs clinch playoff spot in person

The Avalanche defeated the Jets 3-2 on Thursday evening, securing a spot in the NHL playoffs. Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller was in attendance.

Miller has also attended Nuggets games this season and he plans to take in Rockies action this spring. The Nuggets have the second-best record (52-26) in the Western Conference and they’ve already clinched a playoff spot.

“It’s great to see the Nuggets play well,” Miller said Tuesday. “Every single game that I’ve been to they’ve won. Well, there was one game that they lost.

“But I like to think I’m a good luck charm so I try to make it to all the games. It’s good to see local teams play well. Rockies season is coming up soon and I’m a local teams guy. It’s good to see the local teams do well.”

The Rockies have started the season 3-4, placing them in fourth place of the National League West.
