Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller and Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady are rivals on the field and friends off the field, similar to the relationship between Brady and former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning.
Miller and Brady have a good-natured rivalry on social media, too.
The 146th Kentucky Derby was supposed to take place last week before being postponed in the wake of COVID-19. Miller must have been missing the event because he posted several throwback photos on his Instagram account, including a photo with Brady and kicker Brandon McManus.
Miller’s caption: “Me, the 🐐, and @TomBrady / 145th Kentucky Derby.” That was a subtle jab at Brady, implying that McManus is the greatest kicker of all time but Brady’s not the greatest quarterback of all time.
Brady had a great response in the comments: “That’s the only time you are allowed to get that close to me without a penalty flag 🤣🤣🤣.”
