Promoting Kilwinning is looking for help to spruce up the town as part of this year’s big Spring Clean Up.
It has arranged a number of clean-up events across the town throughout May.
A spokesperson said: “We hope to have a large positive response to our 2019 Spring Clean Up.
“Volunteers who have already adopted a spot to keep litter-free are being asked to make an extra-thorough clean-up of their spot during the clean-up.
“We also hope that more volunteers will adopt a spot.
“If we all do a ‘litter bit’ we can make a big difference to Kilwinning.”
On Saturday Kilwinning Boys’ Brigade and Girl Guides will be scouting for rubbish on their litter pick of Whitehirst Park Road between 10am and noon, meeting up at the Meadow Park road roundabout.

On Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11, Kilwinning Sports Club and Scottish Wildlife Trust will hold a joint litter pick, meeting at 10am at Corsehillmuir Wood.
The 19th Ayrshire Scouts, Cubs and Beavers will also have several clean-ups around the town on Saturday, May 25. he Scouts will meet at the Scout hut at 10am to noon. The Cubs and Beavers will meet at Cranberry Moss and then on Wednesday Scouts will clean up around the Nethermains area.

All Kilwinning schools will also take part.
Organisers said litter pickers and bags will be provided at all events but anyone taking part should wear gloves and sturdy shoes.

North Ayrshire Council will be targeting areas of fly tipping throughout May.
