Voice of the Mirror: Dominic Cummings may embarrass buffoonish Johnson yet further

Boris Johnson’s responses to situations from Covid to football’s European Super League idea are of huge public interest.

Truth matters in politics, where people’s lives and livelihoods are determined.

But this Prime Minister made poor decisions and followed them up with denials.

Dominic Cummings, an ally of the buffoonish PM who has become his mortal enemy, may on Wednesday embarrass Johnson yet further.

Eur on the spot

The provisional squad England manager Gareth Southgate has picked for the Euros have a unique opportunity.

If they triumph, we will finally have something to celebrate amid the gloom.

But if they crash out of the contest, this pandemic-hit year will seem doubly dismal.
