Voice of the Mirror: Bring on general election and let's build a better Britain

If Boris Johnson and his allies, Jo Swinson and Nicola Sturgeon, want a general election during the dark days of December, then bring it on.

Should this ragtag band of opportunists agree on a date, let the nation use it to boot the Tories out and put Labour and Jeremy Corbyn into No10 to build a better Britain.

On Thursday night cynical liar Johnson will cap his mercifully brief time as PM by failing to deliver the Halloween Brexit he promised.

A pet project on which he’s wasted upwards of £100million to spread false propaganda.

And we know why the Liberal Democrats and SNP want a quick dash to the polls.

The Libs have only one policy, Europe, while the SNP wants it over before the Alex Salmond trial early next year. After yesterday’s flop, Johnson tries again today. Should he succeed, the election will be about far more than Brexit.

Labour’s message of hope with a £10 minimum wage, reviving the NHS and fighting crime might win the day. No wonder many Tories are worried.
